AVG Update
Support and definition renewal for AVG 7.1 expired last month. Grisoft is directing all of their customers (including users of their free software) to purchase their AVG internet security. This product has antivirus, antispyware, antispam and a firewall. Please check here for more details.
Grisoft still provides a free antivirus program but with limited features. User Friendly would suggest an upgrade to their Anti Malware product (which includes both antivirus and antispyware) for those of you who would like an automated process. If you are still looking for their free product, make sure to keep an eye on it to verify that updates and scans are running as they should. Cost on the paid version is $45 for 2 years.
(As a side note, we have experienced issues with their built-in software firewall product and would not currently recommend that specific piece of software.)
