Internet Explorer 7

This new update from Microsoft can be a life saver and a burden all tied in to one. This article should tell you what you need to know.

Internet Explorer 7 is the new release from Microsoft.  It is now available for download from their Windows Update and Internet Explorer websites.  Some of the benefits that come along with this new browser are phishing filters, protected mode, and the security bar.  There is also the ability to use tabbed browsing, have RSS feeds inside your browser, and an instant search box.  These security measures can help protect your home and business from unwanted malware and intruders.

However, some sites are not yet ready for this new release.  Before installing company wide, or even at your home, you should test out the browser to make sure it works with the websites that you normally go to.  You can do this at your home by simply finding someone who has it installed and trying your main sites there, and at your business by doing a test install and making sure everything works ok.  The new features of IE7 are too good to pass up, but let's all make sure to do our homework first.
