When we were initially contacted by our customer in regards to this project, we found that an existing lease was in place and was about to expire. This put the firm in a tough spot because the buyout price for the equipment did not make sense, so the decision was made to do two things to cut costs; replace all of the equipment to bypass the buyout and move the Bluffton office in to the same building as the main office.
All 20 workstations and 3 servers were replaced with 20 new workstations and 2 new servers over a weekend. All data files and software packages were migrated from the old equipment to the new equipment. The project was completed by the start of the work day so that the firm could operate business as normal and the User Friendly staff was onsite to work through any questions.

When it was found that the organization was outgrowing their existing infrastructure, we decided a server replacement was the best solution to further expand and provide a more stable environment for their users.
Using new technologies and methodology, User Friendly was able to perform the server migration in roughly half the time of standard migrations. This allowed the customer to save costs and perform the migration at an earlier date, and allowed User Friendly to migrate with only a couple of hours of downtime and a few hours of weekend work.
